Description

A setback in the state's fight against the coronavirus occurred when the virus spread amongst hockey and broom ball players in the Montpelier area. "State officials say 34 people have tested positive in an outbreak of the novel coronavirus connected to Central Vermont Memorial Civic Center in Montpelier." The following day, October 23, 2020, state officials reported that the spread had grown to 43 cases: "He said the outbreak in Montpelier has now been connected to two colleges with six cases, seven schools with 12 cases, seven workplaces with 12 cases, and two hospitals with two cases. That adds up to a total of 240 contacts." (vtdigger)
