Title

Legislature Passes Mask Law

Description

On November 22, 2021, the legislature passed a "compromise" bill proposed by Governor Phil Scott to allow towns to pass mask mandates. Democrats in the legislature had been pressing the governor to adopt a state-wide mask mandate. "But while legislative leaders took Scott up on his offer, they expressed little enthusiasm for the proposal itself and made clear that they resented the assertion that he had met them halfway."
