Description
In the days leading up to the reopening of schools after the New Year’s break, the state made a mad dash to distribute rapid antigen tests for the families of school children to use at home. This was the scene in a parking lot at Brattleboro Union High School. Although the state had more than 87,000 tests -- enough for every student in Vermont -- available at sites across the state on December 30 and 31, 2021, only 44,700 tests were ultimately distributed.
