HIGHGATE – Chester W. Bray, age 79, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2020 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in Highgate Falls on May 8, 1941 to the late Shirley & Madeline (Witham) Bray.
Chester fell in love and married Barbara, who predeceased him. Chester worked at Fonda Container, in St. Albans for many years as a Fork Truck Operator. When Fonda closed, he sought out new work, and found a career with Hannaford working in the meat department.
He is survived by his two children, Mary Bray and her significant other, Randy of Richford, and Jeffrey Bray of Highgate; several grandchildren; nephew, James Bray and his wife Jodi of Highgate; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Chester was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Bray; and siblings, Stanley, Franklin and Geraldine Bray.
In keeping with Chester's wishes, there will be no services.
