Description

Sally Jane Morway, 82, died early Monday morning December 14, 2020 at the St. Albans Health and Rehab. Center.

Sally was born on September 14, 1938 in Burlington, the daughter of Homer Edson and Blanche Aretta (Minkler) Morway.

She graduated from Milton High School in 1956.

Sally was very active with the International Farm Exchange and spent 6 months in Germany in 1962 with the Agriculture Exchange.
She had worked at the UVM Extension Service at the North Hero office.
For a short time she served as the Grand Isle Town Clerk.
She later worked 7 years for the Grand Isle School, as a bus driver and custodian and as the head custodian at the Orchard School in South Burlington.

Sally was a hard worker with an adventurous spirit who loved to travel and meet new people. She was caring, patient, fun-loving and our beloved "Auntie Sal". Sally loved the outdoors and enjoyed many years of ski-dooing, camping and motorcycle riding. She loved to be by the lake and was most happy with a dog by her side.

Sally is survived by her loving sister-in-law Amy Morway of Milton and by her nieces and nephews Beth Morway and fiancé Mark Mongeon of Bakersfield and daughters Hayley Wilson and Christina Wilson, Kyle and Jill Morway and their daughter Alyssa, Kevin and Dominique Morway and their sons Jackson, Anthony, and Mason all of Milton, Cindy Briggs of Iowa, Wesley and Sue Briggs and their sons Nicholas and Joshua of Northfield, her cousins Sarah and Dayton Wakefield, Les and Mary Ellen Morway, Jack and Nancy Morway and her dear friend Caryl Wilson of Grand Isle.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Hubert “Zip” Morway, Frank Briggs and George Briggs, by her sister Abiah Allen and her cousin David Morway.
