Librarian with Vermont-Made Mask
Title
Librarian with Vermont-Made Mask
Description
Vermont Historical Society Librarian Paul Carnahan is seen here wearing a mask made by Beau Ties of Vermont from Middlebury. The company made cloth masks in from many different colorful fabrics, usually used to make neckwear. The masks included slip-in filters to make them more effective than simple cloth masks. (Carnahan's bow tie was not made by the company but is designed to look like an old library book circulation slip.)
